Asona Sonaris™ is a revolutionary patent pending perforated composite ceiling panel facing designed to provide high sound absorption when laminated to Triton glass fibre panels or mid to low sound absorption when laminated to mineral or plasterboard ceiling panels.
Unlike traditional perforated hard materials such as MDF, Plywood or metal where the size and number of perforations dictates the sound absorption rating Asona Sonaris™ is made from porous glass mat composite material and is acoustically transparent, this means that perforations have little impact on the overall sound absorption and are essentially decorative in function. This characteristic separates the aesthetic design from the acoustic performance rating to give architects greater design freedom and acoustical consultants the sound absorption and attenuation they need to control room acoustics.
With Sonaris™ the visible surface of the composite panel is perforated and the back layer is left un-perforated and can be made from the same or contrasting colours for decorative effect. White on white provides a subtle perforated look whilst white on grey or white on black to gives more emphasis to the perforation pattern Sonaris is made in a range of standard round or slot
perforations and custom perforation patterns are available to order, please consult Asona prior to specification.
Sonaris™ is ideal as a decorative finish to acoustic ceiling panels in corporate office areas, lobbies, retail, halls, education facilities, entertainment and institutional buildings.
Made in NZ from proprietary Sonatex™ glass mat composite board perforated in a range of designs. Patent pending.
